How long a WhatsApp Status video can be
Short answer: WhatsApp's Help Center says a status video can be up to 90 seconds long. If you add a longer video, only the first 90 seconds are shared, so choose the part you want before you post it.
Choose the 90 seconds in WhatsApp
- In WhatsApp, tap Updates, then Add status, and pick the video.
- Drag the slider at the top to keep the part you want, up to 90 seconds.
- Share it. A status disappears after 24 hours.
You don't need another app for this.
Why a status looks softer than the original
WhatsApp's Help Center says photos and videos in a status may look lower in quality than the original, because they are usually compressed, and that HD quality isn't available for status. Clipmino can't change how WhatsApp handles a status, and we have not measured it.
To send the whole video
Send it in a chat instead. WhatsApp's Help Center says a video sent in a chat can be up to 64 MB, or 100 MB on a faster connection. If yours is larger, Clipmino can make a copy that fits: WhatsApp says the video is too large.
