Clipmino for Android

Supported videos and limits

Clipmino accepts MP4 and MOV files with H.264 or HEVC video and either no audio or AAC audio, in standard dynamic range.

Source duration
1 second to 20 minutes
Source resolution
Up to 4K and 60 fps, where the device can decode it
Source file size
Up to 2 GB
Maximum size you request
2 MB to 500 MB, where one MB is 1,000,000 bytes
Output
MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio when the source has sound, up to 1080p and 30 fps

HDR videos and other codecs are rejected before compression. Convert the source to a supported standard dynamic range file with a trusted tool, then select the new copy.

The requested size cannot be reached

Enter a target between 2 and 500 MB; in a Pro batch the limit applies to each video. Clipmino only accepts a file it has checked and that actually fits.

If the app reports that the target is too small or could not be met, choose a larger maximum. Long, detailed, or fast-moving footage needs a minimum amount of data to stay usable, and required audio needs its own share.

The source or output is unavailable

Access to a selected video can expire when a cloud provider revokes a temporary link or the file is moved. Open the original app or provider, make the video available offline, then select it again.

An export needs room for a working file as well as the final copy, so free device storage and retry if saving fails. A successful copy appears in Movies/Clipmino; give your gallery a moment to index it. A copy that was interrupted before it could be checked is removed rather than left as a file that will not play.

Cancelled or interrupted work

You can cancel from Clipmino or from its progress notification, and the app cleans up its temporary files. Android may also interrupt long media work on its own.

If Clipmino finds an interrupted batch when you reopen it, choose Retry remaining videos or Discard batch. A retry always starts from your original video, never from a previous attempt.

Purchase and restore Pro

Clipmino includes three free exports; only an export that was saved successfully counts against them. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and unlocks unlimited local exports and batches of up to ten videos.

  1. Check that Google Play is signed in to the account used for the purchase.
  2. Open Clipmino and choose Restore purchase on the home screen or in Settings.
  3. If purchase status is unavailable, reconnect to the internet and try once more.

A pending purchase unlocks Pro only after Google Play completes it, and a cancelled or failed purchase costs you nothing. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its policies and applicable law: see the Google Play refund instructions.
